Please note: The only update applicable for units purchased from December 2015 onwards is Street Mapping, please follow the video instructions provided below to familiarise yourself with the procedure. There is no need to install any other updates provided on this page on post December 2015 purchased units.
Please make a full SD card content backup before proceeding with any update as VMS will not warrant any data loss caused by the update.
If your 700HDX unit is displaying "VMS.EXE has experienced a serious error" or "DRIVE.EXE has experienced a serious error" message.
A: There are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue. If you wanted to restore normal operation we have found that copying all the files off the map SD card onto a temporary folder on a Windows PC, followed by reformatting the map card and then copying the files back onto the card restores normal operation, if you have some basic computer skills you may give this a go, full procedure is attached to this link. Alternatively you can contact VMS directly on (03) 9017 5589 or e-mail us for further assistance.
